About Melissa Field
I am honored you’ve taken the time to learn more about me. I am a devoted wellness coach/peer supporter, practicing spiritualist, lifelong learner, and emerging clinical social worker with a deep commitment to grief and loss (including pet companion loss), life transitions, and end-of-life emotional and spiritual care.
My History: I’ve spent most of my career in clinical research, with the past eight years focused on psychedelic-assisted therapies for mental health. During this time, I had the privilege of attending therapeutic trainings in emotion regulation, somatic release, mindfulness, ethics, trauma-informed care, and non-ordinary states of consciousness. I hold a Record of Completion in EMBARK Psychedelic Facilitation (Open Access) and am a certified Psilocybin Peer Supporter (PPS) through PsiloHealth.
New Beginnings: After spending the past two decades in research aimed at population-level impact, I felt a heart-led calling to work more intimately with individuals navigating grief, transition, and healing. I now offer wellness coaching/peer support, Reiki, and individual and group voice empowerment sessions while completing my master’s degree in social welfare towards my clinical aims.
Over the past several years, I’ve provided psychedelic preparation and integration support within peer communities, local mental health peer support, and compassionate “sitting” for individuals undergoing breathwork experiences. These roles require ethical grounding, compassionate care, and a steady, non-judgmental presence.
My Spiritual Background and Alignments: I identify with a Unitarian Spiritual and Metaphysical faith and hold deep gratitude for my Pentecostal Christian roots, which taught me the power of energy healing through hands-on prayer and connection to Source through light language. Kundalini meditation and Reiki are central to my spiritual practice and daily life. I also hold a strong ancestral connection, experiencing their continued guidance and support as I walk alongside others through moments of loss, transformation, and remembrance.
