Reiki Energy Healing

What is Reiki?

Light energy flows through all things and beings. Reiki is a Japanese energy healing technique developed by Mikao Usui in the early 1900s, which includes a practitioner channeling the universal light energy force of love through their palms/hands. This energy is transferred to the client to help move blockages and to promote healing. Reiki is not aligned with any religion.

Spiritual Connections

Receiving Reiki does not require you to have a spiritual practice - Reiki is a gift for all humans, no matter their beliefs. However, as your practitioner, I feel it is important for you to know my spiritual background and how I relate to Source and my Reiki healing technique. I use my connection to Source to intuitively “listen” and “look” for what comes to the surface while I practice Reiki.

Although Reiki is not aligned with any religion, the technique is similar to other religious/spiritual hands-on healing/prayer practices, including in the experiential religion of Pentecostal Christianity (in which I was raised). I now personally identify with the Unitarian Spiritual and Metaphysical faiths, and give gratitude to my childhood faith that taught me the power of energy healing with hands-on prayer, and connection to Source through light language (speaking in tongues).

I now practice affirmative prayer, a technique focused on positive affirmation, manifestation, and outcome (rather than a plea for help). I also practice light language to strengthen my connection to Source. You may optionally elect prayer and/or light language to be part of your Reiki session, if you desire.

I offer 60-minute ($88) Reiki Sessions at: The Energy Within - 7807 W 151st St., Overland Park, Kansas, 66223. I also offer a discount to those who are in financial need.
