What is Reiki?

The practice of Reiki includes the ideology that light energy flows through all things and beings. Reiki is a Japanese energy healing technique developed by Mikao Usui in the early 1900s, which includes a practitioner channeling this universal light energy force of love through their palms/hands and onto the client. This energy is transferred to the client to help move blockages and to promote healing.

Reiki is not aligned with any religion and receiving Reiki does not require you to have a spiritual practice. Reiki is understood to be a gift for all humans, no matter their beliefs. 

Spiritual Connections

Personally, I identify with a metaphysical faith which believes that we all contain a light essence within us, and this comes directly from one central Source (God). I offer optional spiritual "add-ons" to those who consent prior to a session. These add-ons include: affirmative prayer, intuitive sharing, and/or light language. You do not have to consent to any of these in order to receive Reiki.

Affirmative Prayer - If you consent to affirmative prayer, a technique focused on positive affirmation, manifestation, and outcome (rather than a plea for help), then I will open our time together with this ritual. 

Intuitive Sharing - If you consent to intuitive sharing, I will use my connection to Source to actively “listen” and “look” for anything that Spirit may call me to share with you during your session.  

Light Language - Light language is a way that I communicate with Source outside of our "human language process" realm. I have been using this spiritual practice for over thirty years to help me release mind chatter and doubt - and to surrender to Spirit. If you consent to light language, I may weave it throughout different portions of our time together as I feel called.

Circle of Support Program: At Transcend Together, I believe healing should be as accessible as possible. Through the Circle of Support Program, a limited number of Care Certificates are made available to individuals experiencing financial hardship. Receiving support begins with one courageous step: simply asking. No explanation or documentation is required. Care Certificates may provide a reduced-fee or donation-based session, depending on availability and individual circumstances. If your circumstances improve in the future, you're warmly invited—but never obligated—to help extend care to someone else through a contribution to the Circle of Support Fund. In this way, kindness continues to ripple outward, allowing our community to support one another.
